We Take Care Of You!
One way of helping people to understand the kind of work that Clean Crawls does is by likening it to a hospital and our Customers Service and Sales Representatives as doctors. After all, we are in the business of helping our clients with their mental and physical ailments.
I am exaggerating a little, but if there are bad odors coming from your crawl space then that will affect your physical and mental health. If you have rats going pitter-patter in the middle of the night depriving you of sleep that is going to become a physical problem and it will affect your mental health as well if you are scared of rats.
Additionally, what many homeowners do not realize is that up to 40% of the air we breathe comes from our crawl spaces. Unfortunately, an improperly cared for crawl space is a breeding ground for mold and rodent feces, both of which can make you sick.
While it takes a significant amount of mold to make people seriously ill, mold can present a very real health hazard in your home to the elderly and the young. They both have a much higher risk of being affected by mold.
Watery eyes, sneezing, wheezing, coughing, and a feeling of being “fuzzy headed” are all signs of being sensitive to mold. As a parent knowing that my child was breathing in the moldy air when we are at home would definitely affect my mental health.
These are the kinds of problems that I want you to be free from. There is discomfort there, whether it is mental or physical.
Your whole body is affected by things that we come in to solve. When we come to your house one of my Expert Attic and Crawl Space Specialists will physically squeeze themselves into those cramped spaces (with a camera if necessary) to document all the issues and weak points that need to be addressed.
We do this because we want to make sure we are giving the homeowner all of the services that they need. Sometimes the homeowner does not always know what they need, so our Attic and Crawl Space Specialists will have to investigate and discover what is in your crawl space.
Then we will discuss what the homeowner needs to have done in order to have a healthy home attic and crawl space again; very similar to a doctor.
It is not uncommon for a customer to come to us with an insulation removal in mind and then find out they have a rodent problem. A big part of our job is helping the homeowner understand what they need.
This means that we will tell and show you exactly what needs to be done to provide a clean, healthy, cozy, and energy efficient home at a fair price.
The first thing we will do is physically remove your old insulation, the rats, and the bad smells. Then we will seal up all of the entryways. We get all of this done in an efficient manner to make sure you do not have too much time off work.
We are in and out of your home as quickly as possible, while still getting the job done correctly so there are no ongoing issues. That is always a struggle in dealing with different homes and homeowners every day, but the goal is to make sure that you feel like you are at peace with what is going on.
Once we have completed the removal then we will proceed to re-insulate your crawl space, with deodorizing and sanitizing and replacing your vapor barrier. This means that you will not only have a nice clean crawl space, but you will also be protected from vapors and gasses coming up from the ground that pollutes the air you breathe in your home.
The vapor barrier will protect your family and your home from condensation which could damage your subfloor, increase the chance of mold, and even wood rot. We anchor your new vapor barrier, with thick wire stakes that resemble giant staples so that you do not have to worry about things shifting around.
After that, we advise you to sign up for pest services. This is similar to a bi-monthly check-up for your home; we do this so that there is no chance of a recurrence of pest problems. We want you to know that this is a guarantee if you follow our recommendations.
I want anyone that works with Clean Crawls to not be plagued with a lot of questions when we have finished our work. They do not need to ask, “Did it get done correctly? Do I feel a difference? Do I smell a difference?” We want to make sure we leave that home where the homeowner is feeling secure that everything was done properly and to their satisfaction or more.
We should leave the home better than we found it, and in some cases, better than new! That is what we are trying to make sure you, the homeowner, is feeling. We walk out of there and you are happy with the conditions of the home. I want you to have Peace of Mind for Your Attic and Crawl! TM
